In Logan last night, Wyoming looked like a very solid team in the first half. Utah State played like a top-20 team in the second half as Wyoming fell on the road to the Aggies 83-59.

At the half, the Cowboys trailed by only two points, 35-33. Utah State started the second half with an 11-0 start and put the game out of reach. Once 20th-ranked Utah State hit their stride out of the break, Wyoming could not defend the Aggies. And they couldn’t get anything going offensively.

Wyoming falls to 8-8 overall and 1-2 in conference play with the Aggies moving to 15-1 and 3-0 in the MW.

Mason Walters led the Cowboys with 17 points. Akuel Kot added 14. The Pokes were held to 40 percent from the field on the night with the Aggies shooting 53 percent and 61 percent in the second frame. The Cowboys return home on Saturday hosting Fresno State in the Arena-Auditorium in a 2 p.m. start.
