For a third straight week, the price at the pump for gasoline has edged higher.
The price for a gallon of gas rose more than six cents a gallon across The Cowboy State last week. The average price at the pump statewide averaged $2.57 on Monday, according to a survey of 494 stations in Wyoming by a technology company that tracks pricing trends, Gas Buddy.com.
According to the latest data, prices in Wyoming are 12.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago but stand 37.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
According to the latest statewide price report, the lowest price in Wyoming on Sunday was $2.18 per gallon, while the highest was $2.97, a difference of 79 cents per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 1.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.84 per gallon on Monday. The national average is up 5.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 24.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
GasBuddy data is compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
The national average price of diesel has increased 2.9 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.614 per gallon.
