Rawlins named Utilities Supervisor Mike O’Brien as Employee of the Quarter.

Four times a year, Rawlins officials honor a specific city employee by recognizing them for their hard work. During the November 21st Rawlins city council meeting, City Manager Tom Sarvey named Utilities Supervisor Mike O’Brien the Employee of the 3rd Quarter. Sarvey said O’Brien quickly rose through the ranks to head the city’s Utilities Department.

Sarvey said O’Brien is happy to help whenever he is needed. On top of his duties with the Utilities Department, the city manager said O’Brien also volunteers with the Rawlins Fire Department and the Volunteer Appreciation Committee.

Sarvey said O’Brien can be counted on to assist with city events. The city manager said O’Brien is popular among residents.

O’Brien was presented with a congratulatory card by Mayor Terry Weickum. After the customary photographs were taken, the utilities supervisor thanked his co-workers, especially Utilities Service Worker Robert Nulle.

O’Brien joins Rawlins Police Officer Rick Hooper and Human Resources Director Stefanie Paulson as Employees of the Quarter for 2023.
