The thinning of the urban mule deer herd in Rawlins under a Chapter 56 permit is on track to begin next month. As the Rawlins Urban Deer Advisory Group gears up to remove up to 40 deer from the herd, it reviewed the number of human–deer interactions in the city from calls received by the police department. Cali O’Hare reports.

Applications for meat must be submitted on or before October 31st. Rawlins Game Wardens will distribute the meat on a single day in December.
